Bali is a small (5,632 km2) tropical island with a wonderful diversity of scenery: superb beaches, volcanoes to 10,000 ft and more, lakes, extremely lush vegetation and very friendly people. The population of c.4 million is predominantly Hindi ; there are 20,000 temples on the island. Biking is a wonderful way to explore the island.

Day 1. Ubud.
Welcome to Bali! You will be met at the airport and taken to Ubud, a pretty hill resort full of temples and monkeys.
Day 2. Ubud.
We take a leisurely walking tour of the town, including the Monkey Forest, the Art Museum and Ubud Palace.
Day 3. Ubud.
Enjoy a fabulous downhill ride on quiet roads and tracks through rice fields, and visit a traditional village.
Day 4. Lovina Beach.
Climb to the spectacular World Heritage Jatiluwih rice terraces and enjoy views from a fabulous lookout point above lakes Buyan and Tambingan, before a wonderful descent on a tiny road to the north coast.
Day 5. Kintamani
Take a pre-breakfast boat trip to see dolphins playing just off the beach, then visit the 'biking temple' which includes a biking relief designed by a Dutchman.
Day 6. Kintamani.
Options today include a trek to the summit of Mt Batur or thrilling wite water rafting on the Ayung River.
Day 7. Tirta Gangga.
An easy, mostly downhill day to our hotel in a royal palace.
Day 8. Tirta Gangga.
We highly recommend a 20km downhill ride to Amed for amazing snorkeling in waist deep water, followed by a drive back to your palace.
Day 9. Candidassa.
Superb biking through a maze of minor roads to our beachfront resort.
Day 10.
Transport back to Denpasar Airport is included, if you can't extend your stay at Candidassa or another beach.
