New Zealand North Island Cycle Tours

North Island Highlights 16 Day Inn Trip

The North Island Highlights Cycle Tour is comprised of two short tours:

The Coromandel Peninsula is a cycling gem lying east of Auckland in one of New Zealand's most diverse and breathtaking locations. See a giant kauri tree and ride a bush railway.

A farm stay will give you the opportunity to meet some real "Kiwis" . The first part of the tour finishes at the geothermal spa town of Rotorua with the opportunity to experience the local Maori culture.

The Volcanoes and Glow-worms tour covers a great diversity of scenery from farmland to lakes, forests and the magnificent volcanoes of Tongariro Natinoal Park. Stay on a sheep farm (meet some of New Zealand's 45 million sheep) and visit the world famous Waitomo Caves for a magical glow-worm display.

The climb is worth it!

Accommodation includes 4* Auckland waterfront hotel, two farmstays, delightful waterfront lodges and character hotels.   more>

Nobody should go on a supported tour of New Zealand with anyone but Pedaltours. They selected outstanding accommodations, restaurant locations and provided absolutely perfect support for the riders. The ride leaders are extremely warm and friendly. Can't get any better. They get an A+ from me.

Each day it just got better and better.  I particularly appreciated beig able to ‘pre-order’ each day from a selected menu provided by our guides.  Healthy picnic lunches were provided daily on the road in some of the most beautiful and stunning picnic areas.  One has never quite feasted until they’ve taken a Pedaltours holiday.  The luscious desserts nightly were unquestionably worth every last calorie.
